Ministry of PANRB Releases 2024 E-Government Index Report

Pesisir Selatan,Pilarmedianusantara.com – The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) has released the 2024 Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) Index through Decree No. 663/2024, detailing the evaluation results for central agencies and regional governments.

According to the decree, Pesisir Selatan Regency achieved an SPBE Index of 4.23, earning a “Satisfactory” rating. This is an improvement from 2023, when the index stood at 4.17 with a “Very Good” rating.

Head of the Communications and Information Office of Pesisir Selatan, Wendi, emphasized that this achievement reflects significant progress in leveraging information and communication technology (ICT) for governance.

“The SPBE Index measures how well we have integrated ICT into public service delivery,” Wendi explained.

He further highlighted that Pesisir Selatan’s SPBE Index is the highest among all regions in Sumatra.

“We are just slightly behind Jambi City, which scored 4.32,” he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Applications and Informatics (Aptika), Syafrudin, noted increased competition in SPBE index achievements among central agencies and regional governments in 2024.

“This poses a challenge for Pesisir Selatan Regency to continue improving its SPBE services,” said Syafrudin.

Currently, Pesisir Selatan Regency operates 184 service applications supporting both government administration and public services.

“These applications cover various functions, including planning, budgeting, finance, procurement, records management, asset management, internal supervision, employee performance, and organizational accountability,” he elaborated.

The SPBE domains evaluated include business processes, data and information, SPBE infrastructure, application domains, security, and services.

“In essence, Pesisir Selatan Regency has been recognized as a ‘Satisfactory’ region in government digitalization,” Syafrudin concluded.

For context, the highest SPBE Index among ministries was achieved by:

Ministry of Communication and Digital (4.75)

Ministry of Finance (4.74)

Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (4.68).

For provincial governments, West Java Province led with an index of 4.73, while Banyuwangi Regency topped the district category with an index of 4.77.

The SPBE index ratings are categorized as follows: “Poor,” “Adequate,” “Good,” “Very Good,” and the highest, “Satisfactory.”
