For many, New Year’s Eve is a special moment to celebrate with family or close friends. While public spaces are often crowded, the public is encouraged to avoid activities that disrupt order to ensure a joyful and peaceful atmosphere.

Acting Mayor of Tangerang, Dr. Nurdin, urged residents to engage in positive activities and avoid actions such as parades that could disturb the celebration’s harmony.

“To the residents of Tangerang City welcoming the New Year, I have issued a circular to encourage positive activities, such as religious gatherings and recitations. Please avoid parades and large gatherings that may disturb the atmosphere,” said Dr. Nurdin.

Dr. Nurdin also highlighted that the Tangerang City Government, in collaboration with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), has prepared security measures at designated posts and will conduct joint patrols.

Additional security was enforced at locations expected to draw large crowds, such as Taman Elektrik, which attracted thousands of visitors from within and outside the city.

One of the highlights of the night at Taman Elektrik was a surprise fireworks display by the Tangerang City Government, dazzling the visitors with vibrant colors and lights.

Rizal Ridolloh, Head of the Tangerang City Culture and Tourism Office, explained that the fireworks were a surprise to provide an unforgettable experience for those in attendance.

“The fireworks symbolize joy for 2025. We hope the residents of Tangerang City remain healthy, happy, and continue to send their best wishes for the city government,” said Rizal.

He further added that New Year’s momentum boosts tourism potential in Tangerang, especially in public spaces like Taman Elektrik, Ahmad Yani Square, Cibodas Square, and other recreation areas that serve as popular destinations.

“We wish everyone a Happy New Year 2025. Let’s welcome the year ahead with optimism and happiness,” Rizal concluded.

Visitors from outside Tangerang City were equally impressed by the vibrant celebrations at Taman Elektrik. Among them were Awal and Izzah, who traveled from Rangkasbitung, Lebak Regency, to enjoy the festive atmosphere, delicious street food, and engaging activities.

“Al-A’zhom is bustling every year. That’s why we often come here. Our hope for 2025 is simply to remain patient,” said Awal and Izzah briefly.

Tangerang, known as the “City of Fortress,” continues to attract tourists with its safe, comfortable environment, easy accessibility, and well-equipped public facilities.
