Tangerang City,pilarmedianusantara.com – The Tangerang City Transportation Agency (Dishub) is actively preparing for New Year’s Eve celebrations by supporting the restriction of freight transportation during the 2025 New Year holiday period.
Achmad Suhaely, the Head of Tangerang City Dishub, emphasized that the agency fully endorses the Joint Decree (SKB) issued by the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), and the Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (Korlantas Polri). The decree imposes restrictions on the operation of freight vehicles on both toll roads and non-toll roads during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) period, particularly on New Year’s Eve.
“We inform the public that the restriction on freight vehicle operations is in effect during this Nataru period. This is an important update, especially as the decree outlines several key routes in Tangerang City, including Jalan Raya Merdeka-Jalan Raya Gatot Subroto and the toll roads connecting Jakarta-Tangerang-Merak,” said Suhaely.
The decree specifies that certain types of freight vehicles will have restricted operations, such as trucks with three or more axles, vehicles with trailers, vehicles with semi-trailers, and vehicles carrying mining products or construction materials.
“We fully support this operational restriction policy, which has been in place since the Christmas celebrations and will peak during the New Year’s Eve transition tomorrow,” Suhaely added.
The Tangerang City Dishub hopes these restrictions will help create safer, more orderly, and comfortable traffic conditions throughout the New Year’s celebrations, particularly within Tangerang City.
